The Equestrian Federation of Pakistan recently orchestrated the grand spectacle of the 6th National Tent Pegging Championship at the Polo ground ranger headquarter in Lahore, spanning from February 19 to 23, 2024. This prestigious event showcased the rich tradition and skill of tent pegging, featuring two distinct categories: International style Tent Pegging and Traditional style Tent Pegging. With 54 adept riders vying for victory in the International style competition, the championship witnessed remarkable displays of horsemanship and precision. Prizes were duly conferred upon the accomplished winners, recognizing their mastery in this exhilarating equestrian pursuit.
In the realm of Traditional style Tent Pegging, the championship drew a staggering 74 teams hailing from six diverse regions across Pakistan, including Mandi Bahuddin, Islamabad, Lahore, Kushab, Faisalabad, and KPK. Following rigorous qualifiers, 57 teams emerged to contend in the Grand National event, each showcasing their prowess in the time-honored art of tent pegging. The fervor and camaraderie among participants exemplified the spirit of sportsmanship, while the distribution of prizes among the deserving victors commemorated their dedication and skill in upholding this cherished tradition of equestrian excellence.
